Do I have to license my pets?: Dogs must be licensed on or before May 1st of each year. You must bring proof that your dog has been vaccinated for rabies at the time you license your pet/s. Each license costs $6.00.

2. What is the process for deposit refunds?: A residential customer must first make 12 consecutive payments on or before the 10th of each month to have the original deposit refunded to their utility bill. A deposit of $300.00 for all electric houses and a $400.00 deposit for a house with gas is required, and is only refundable when the customer leaves the City of Wisner or has paid his/her utilities on time for 12 consecutive months. Business deposits are treated the same way as a residential deposit. Landlord deposits are treated the same way as a residential deposit. Customers may make inquiries to (402)529-6616

3. How do I report that a street light is out?: Call the City Office at (402)529-6616 to report a street light is out or use our Report A Concern form.

4. How do I apply for a handicap parking permit?: Talk to your doctor. They should be able to submit everything online because someday they want our offices to not be a part of getting the permit. If they will not, then fill out the Handicap Permit Form and return it along with a copy of your driver's license to the City Office at:

5. When do I have to have a building permit?: A building permit is needed anytime a structure is altered, when different materials are used for replacing or repairing existing structures, and when new structures are put up, including sheds,carports, fences, garages, signs, and concrete.
